The Garden Club of York understands the importance of education in promoting gardening and related topics to the next generation—over the past 25 years we have given more than $70,000 in scholarships to York County students. These scholarships are made possible through fundraising activities and donations by individuals who support the goals and objectives of the Garden Club of York. Donations are always welcome.

Pictured below are our scholarship winners for 2025-26 school year.

Scholarships for academic year 2026-27 will be awarded to qualified students in the following areas:

Our scholarships are open to both high school seniors and college students seeking bachelor’s degrees who are York County residents. The scholarships are awarded based on academic standing, extracurricular activities, applicant’s personal essay, recommendation letters and financial need. **Most students who are eligible for Garden Club of York scholarships are also eligible for $1000 scholarships through the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania (GCFP). Some of our scholarship winners have also won GCFP scholarships. Deadline for GCFP scholarship applications is February 1, 2026. To access the GCFP website, go to www.pagardenclubs.org.
